Born in London, Paul, who is half-Italian, has been likened to a young Sean Connery, so the topic of 007 always surrounds him. As a boy his interests were always sports, soccer in particular. Playing semi-professionally, while also working as a model, dancer, and choreographer, he finally turned his attentions to acting. After moving to the United States, he captured his first major role in ABC's "The Colby's." More roles in theater and television followed, as did feature films, including a role in Sandra Bullock's first major feature, LOVE POTION #9, and a starring appearance opposite Nastassja Kinski in the John Landis feature "SUSAN'S PLAN."
In the 1990s, he starred as MacLeod in "Highlander: The Series." Critics note that much of the series' success rests on his sensitive portrayal of MacLeod's internal struggle; It was during this period that Paulıs drive to learn turned him to directing, eventually piloting several of the showıs most notable episodes. In 2000 he brought his much-publicized role to the big screen, starring with Christopher Lambert in the Miramax/Dimension feature, "Highlander Endgame."
In his spare time, Paul founded a charitable organization the P.E.A.C.E (Protect, Educate and Aid Children Everywhere) Fund; a foundation designed to help ill, abused and needy children. Over the years the Paul belief that celebrities can help inspire children to a brighter future has also been realized through his participation in other charitable organizations.
Paul's success as an actor, with over 300 hours of television, together with several films and plays, makes him recognizable in over 80 countries worldwide. So his love of languages, speaking Italian, French, Spanish and English has allowed him to fulfill his other passion, traveling.
While busy writing and developing several projects that he soon hopes to produce, he can also be seen in "Moscow Heat," starring Michael York, the Independent feature "No Way Up," as well as the television movie "Tides of War."
