Thumbs down EBAY Banning PS3 and Wii ads prior to launch, what do you think?

Well, as many already know, EBAY is banning all PS3 and Wii ads until the consoles launch. Since game retailers cannot guarantee anyone a console at launch (even with Pre-Order), this move is great. After the madness last year with the 360, this will help to bring a little method to the madness. I got my 360 on launch day but many of my friends did not as so many people purchased consoles so they could cash in (so weak). Sounds like a lot of people need to get jobs instead of ripping of honest gamers ..

How does the rest of the free world feel about this?

Good move IMO. Although I don't think they yanked Wii auctions, just the PS3 ones.

I don't think they banned them they just made specific guidelines to be followed like a photo of the pre oreder receipt.

This is excellent prevention by Ebay's part.
This should have been done earlier with the 360 and all of the crazy stupid crap popping up on Ebay.

I think it's a good idea.

It has always been against eBay police to sell items that you don't currently have on-hand. About time eBay starts enforcing its own rules.

I agree that it's a good idea, people should not be allowed to put things up for auction that they don't actually have yet.
