Was excited about the HD-DVD drive until I got it as a gift. As of right now though, it's all about the larger hard drive I hope to see in the new year.

I'm really excited about Mass effect and what it's shaping up to be. Looks like it'll be a great game.

Lost Planet looks to be the best of the bunch when it comes to upcomming releases for the rest of winter and spring

Actually, I think that game looks mediocre. I know the heat dropping is put in for strategy but then you could never really explore the game having to always look for enemies to kill. It looks extremely easy to kill an enemy. The area to shoot at is yellow and you shoot until it dies. I really dislike the aiming interface. It really doesn't work too well with third person shooters where accuracy is vital. The only intriguing part I found in the demo was the mech customization. I think you could do a lot with that. One more thing that I enjoyed in the demo, were the beautiful explosions. They looked so realistic. I think I will pass on this game but there seems to be many more wonderful games on their way.

I'm a big fan of old mech warrior games and the customization is the part I really liked the best

To each his own though, bioshock looks nice too, but Id be more likely to pick that up for PC

Worms.

My friend wrote Scorched Tanks for the Amiga back in the day. It was a clone of the abandoned Scorched Earth DOS game that I played back in college. Worms is a clone of that game, and is a lot of fun.
