To be honest, as a Professor of graphic arts and design the logo and art book blow my mind. The logo is clean and says everything that needs to be said. As a artist the heat bloom from the end of your rifle after you fire blew my mind. I had to show it to all my students last week while watching multiplayer movies on the net. Three of my male students and one of the women in my Experimental design class all went out and pre-ordered it that afternoon.

Why do I want Gears of War? Well, when I first saw the game I wasn't very impressed (with the gameplay, not the graphics -- I'm not blind), but after watching the Multiplayer videos that were on Gametrailers.com (and were subsequently removed for some reason) I became convinced. The muliplayer side of GoW looks like an absolute blast to play, especially if you get together with people you know and can work well as a team with.

I'm not nearly as interested in Single Player as I am in Multiplayer, but it still looks be to be fun. One thing that I'm positive will be fun is the Co-Op feature. Hell, I may just skip playing it alone and go through the story with a friend from the start. For some reason the fun factor of a game is upped by a factor of 10 when you have a buddy playing along side you.

The Epic Team and Cliffy B has me trusting their developing choices to meet the expectations of the core gamer. Much of what I've read has me believe that no corners were cut during the build of the game. Oh, and the graphics too.

I like the whole idea of Destroyed beauty. I can't wait to see the art direction. The pictures most likely don't do it justice. I really want to read Destroyed Beauty also.

Online Co-op. I am at the age where all of my friends are scattered across the country.

The graphics and the story line are just out of this world. This is a satisfier until Halo 3 comes out.
