Yea, people need to read the warning before every single game

Thanks to the recall on the straps, I'm pretty happy I didn't have a Wii at Christmas. I have a young child who would definitely throw one the controller through something (he's excitable).

Plus, could you imagine trying to replace a Wiimote? I can just imagine the argument that would arise from taking that away from a child... even if it's only for 1/2 a day.

People just really need to simmer down with the Wii. I honestly cannot see someone playing responsibly injure anyone or anything with a flying Wiimote. Maybe I'm wrong though...

I put in a request for the thicker wrist straps and got double what I requested. I don't plan on using them at all unless my original straps ever break.

Everyone time someone has a Wiimote by my HDTV I make them fill out a release.

I don't think they were cheap so much as underestimated how vigerously people would use them...I'm an engineer, and it can be really difficult sometimes to simulate 'real world' conditions and do repetition testing when you're trying to design something.
