So yeah, I went to see the White Stripes last night down in Hollywood. I feel like there's not a lot I can say about this band that hasn't been written on countless other blogs and websites. But if you ever get the chance to see them perform in a tiny emptied-out record store ("Where we specialize in the sale of
tangible records," Jack said proudly) to a crowd of only a few hundred, I promise you that it will be an awesome experience. Jack White is the guitar god that everyone says he is, and he's so brutal and uninhibited playing live that it makes his performances on their records sound like Yanni.
