Exclamation Samsung BD-P1000

Hi Guys,

At the mo i have a 360 HD add on and i'm sick of waiting for "NEW " releases to come out right away! So i'm thinking of getting a Samsung BD-P1000 Blu Ray Player so i can watch all the new releases as they come out!

I have heard tho that people are having trouble with them! most may not jnow theres Firmware upgrades out for them!

Does anybody have 1 or could shed some light on the situation before i buy please.

Any helps as always will be appriciated!

Sorry dude (for lagging)... I would skip the Samsung (unless the price is below 300.00) and spring for the new Sony BDP-S300 at 499.00. The Samsung image BD-P1000 suffers from a soft image and something Samsung fixed in the BD-P1200. Check the Hometheatermag review below...

Home Theater: Sony BDP-S300 Blu-ray Player

What does the term Soft Image mean? Would it mean it will look less quality than my Xbox 360 add on?

The Sony isn't out here in the UK for quite a bit i have been informed! so i think i'll go for the Samsung 1200 if it's going to be better quality than the 1000.

If I were you I would save up and buy the Samsung BP-1200 for the HDMI Version 1.3v.. no sense wasting your money on old technology.
