Is buying a Hi Def receiver worth it?
I have a 50" Toshiba projection TV. The owners manual says, "The colorstream HD jacks can be used with Progressive (480p, 720p) and Interlace (480i,1080i) scan systems" I don't know what any of that means. But...
I am considering buying a Tivo receiver with Hi Def. My question is: With this TV will I get the complete Hi Def picture? Or do I need to get a Plasma? Basically will I see the sweat coming off Brett Favres face? |

I cannot recommend highly enough, *especially* for sports programming, getting your hands on a high-definition source as quickly as possible. We have the Scientific Atlanta 8300HD DVR through Comcast -- no way I can ever imagine going back to SD now that I've watched Monday Night Football in high definition!!!
It's a must-do if you have an HDTV.
