I have a legacy older Audio Surround Sound System and I did not see any reason to upgrade to a new HDMI receiver.
I know you can get some 7.1 from HDMI, but last time I checked , 99% of the discs are still at 5.1!

Just installed a HDMI switch with built in Optical audio switching and it integrates well with my av receiver by providing additional HDMI sources switching and optical switching.


Simple solution and easy to use.

Saved me headache and time of disconnecting and disposing the old av receiver.
I connected few cables and was done. did not have to mess with disconnecting all the speaker cables and etc.
