That's a great review. I hope to pick one up soon (if I don't win the contest here). My only concern is the image constraint token, what's the likelyhood that it will be getting used someday? I'd imagine if many people have this drive they wouldn't start alienating a large portion of the consumers by activating it, but that's me. Any word on it?

Well I broke down and bought one. Ordered it from CompUSA. They didn't mention if it comes with King Kong, but I hope so.

Every review says it's worth a purchase... Every review I read gets me closer to buying one...

I can't wait. I love Netflix and they carry HD-DVDs so I know I'll have a lot of material to watch.

The consensus seems to be 2009 to 2010. To many analog sets in the market already and with consumers confused enough, asking many to purchase another HDTV (this soon) is suicide. I will be a CES in week and will find out more about the status of ICT.

Yea I would imagine they would try to side with the consumer (in this case) and not punish the early adopters by forcing us to rebuy. Then again, siding with the consumer is something these companies don't always do, not willingly at least.

If I get one, I'm eyeing gamezandflix.com, I can rent HD-DVD and games. The only problems is there are no DS games to choose from.
