Talking AMD LIVE! and HIDEF.com Athlon64 FX-60 Processor Giveaway

AMD LIVE! and HIDEF.com Athlon64 FX-60 Processor Giveaway

Earlier this year AMD announced their AMD LIVE! program. AMD LIVE! Is a combination of Hardware and Software for Media Center PC/HTPC that is designed to bring you the Ultimate in “Digital Home Entertainment”. Built on the AMD Athlon64 X2/FX platforms and enhanced by very powerful and creative software, AMD LIVE! is poised to bring you the very best in home entertainment and sharing of your digital media such as Photo’s, Video’s, TV Shows (Recorded on PC), Music and more.

AMD LIVE! Software has the power to allow you to share and access your digital library from any PC or web enabled device (portable). I used the ORB software to access my XBOX 360 HD trailers and my music via my Cingular 8125 Phone/PDA. It is very impressive to say the least and downright cool!

Full DVR support is included in AMD LIVE!. This allows you to access pre-recorded material like football games without the need for a Slingbox. AMD LIVE! Software also supports some set-top boxes allowing you to access media via their Ethernet connections. AMD LIVE! supports the ability to rip, burn, edit and record your own music at your leisure. Many thought the AMD LIVE! program was simply a gimmick, but I hear to tell you that the program is for REAL and will change your digital lifestyle forever. I strongly suggest checking out the AMD LIVE! Web Presentation for a complete overview and demostration of AMD LIVE! Experience. Expect a full AMD LIVE! HTPC review in the future.

To kick off our partnership with AMD, we will be giving away an AMD FX-60 Processor courtesy of our friends at AMD!

Just to build a badass machine. I use my current AMD64 2800+ for ripping my Movies and Home Videos and serving as a media server to my 360s. It performs well but I would LOVE to have something with more power under the hood.

GAMING!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been a proud supporter of AMD for about 8 years now. Currently using the 3500+ 939 so an upgrade would be sweet. Good luck to all and thanks again to HIDEF for the giveaways!

I would love to win the FX-60 for HD editing, rendering my 3d content in HD resolutions, and encoding my videos to HD. My current rig is okay for Standard Definition, but I am going to be buying an HDV cam soon, and I know the extra power will help get the job done.

I also could use the extra power for modeling with Zbrush, which makes 3d models with Millions of Polygons, instead of thousands of Polygons. Here is one of my last 3d models.

My current computer is starting to die. And I need to make all my friends cry again with building a better computer than them.

To be honest , all of the above. I'd be like a kid in a candy shop with it. LOL. I NEED a new computer BADLY. I think I'd probably be using it for gaming and serving the 360 files. I sure hope the include Windows Media "watchamacallit" on it to stream video to the 360.

AMD Processors Rock! It would be amazing to win one as I am just about to start work on my album and this would really help run my programs better. Some of my programs are really processor intensive and right now if I have several programs open at once (which I do because I use 3-4 at once together) it lags with latency issues and sometimes crashes, so a new processor would really help!

With Gratitude,
Eluv
