The above image is the HD-DVD Drive that will power the HD-DVD Player that Fukuhiko Electronics will manufacture for Walmart (2 million players) this year. Apparently the sub 300.00 players will debut sometime this fall and by Christmas I suspect we could see 250.00 to 200.00 HD-DVD Players being sold thru Walmart and other retailers. Every consumer war comes down to price and HD-DVD has a huge advantage in this area. Blu-Ray will not be able to keep pace for quite some time. Sony's upcoming "inexpensive" (so-called) 600.00 Blu-Ray Player is becoming more and more expensive by the day.
