Fun Yuan Electonics retracts Wal-Mart statement!
Fun Yuan Electronics has NOW retracted their statement in regards to receiving a 2 million piece order from Wal-Mart. Instead it appears that Wal-Mart has inquired about the possibly, probably via an RFQ (Request for Quotation - I will deal with these all time). What this means is that Wal-Mart is in the process of locating a source and manufacture therefore it is not a matter of "IF" but "WHEN" the player will arrive. In the meantime we will have to wait for word from Wal-Mart or another statement from Fun Yuan. Retraction is below and can also be found HERE.

We are sorry to correct the statement that we have two million HD-DVD players order from Wal-Mart and manufactured by China Great Wall Group. The actuality is that we had not received yet. We are asked to provide the schedule to Wal-Mart and cost to determine the quantity even more than two million, if the cost is good enough and timing is correct. So the capacity is under consideration. Any qualified manufactured base group will be welcome.
