Microsoft told CNET UK during an interview that the company has sold 155,000 360 HD-DVD Players since launch of the product in November of last year. This is not a bad number but I expected the number to be higher by now.

With 155,000 360 HD-DVD Players on the market and roughly 150,000 Toshiba Players, we now have 300,000 HD-DVD Players on the market. With Onkyo shipping an HD-DVD Player this year and the China dudes producing 300.00 HD-DVD Players for the Retail Channel, HD-DVD Player sales will only continue to increase driving a healthy Hardware-to-Software sales ratio along the way.
