MTV Focuses on the Digital in its 20s
Reuters.com reports that MTV is feeling the pressure from YouTube and MySpace to reinvent themselves:

One strategy is to extend many of MTV's social outreach efforts like Rock the Vote, sexual health campaigns and town-hall-style meetings with politicians into an online community.
On the entertainment front, MTV is readying a number of services that let users post their own content and interact with MTV's content on multiple platforms. Norman says to expect specifics "in the next couple of months."

If you haven't noticed, which most people haven't, they launched an HD channel...but just going HD isn't going to cut it.
You'd think that a network that gave birth to Madonna as we know her would have learned from her example by now....oh well, better late than never. Maybe they'll also realize that they've sold out on themselves and will play some more videos in the future.
