Xbox 360 the Clear Leader in On Demand HD Content?
Technewsworld.com has an article about the Xbox 360 live service edging out competition in the online gaming arena...
Here is a blurb:
Quote:
Bolstering what some are calling clear evidence that the gaming industry is moving online,Microsoft(Nasdaq: MSFT) claimed that its Xbox Live service has passed the 24 million download mark. The milestone comes just months after the Xbox 360 launch last November.
Xbox Live is Microsoft's platform for high-definition, on-demand content. It offers players game demos and expansion packs, along with a host of other add-ons. During the week of the E3 trade show in Los Angeles, Xbox invited gamers to log on to Xbox Live with a free week-long Gold membership.

I think that Microsoft is positioning itself well to be a potential leader in this space. I certainly use their live service with my XBOX 360 nearly every day and it is my favorite way to download new movie trailers since I have it hooked up to my home theater display.
...way better than downloading a film trailer on my computer and watching it on my computer monitor methinks...
Is Live going to be the next big entertainment network?? I'm going to keep an eye on this...
