At the end of last week, a few interesting things occurred concerning Toshiba's A2 HD-DVD Player. Apparently Walmart will begin selling (on Nov 3rd) the unit for 198.00 (see image above from avsforum) and Circuit City is already selling the A2 for 197.00 online! Wow, the sub 200.00 players are here and the Chinese player has yet to go on sale. Speaking of the 199.00 Chinese HD-DVD Player, a forum user over at AVS discovered a Canadian Walmart brochure featuring the Venturer HD-DVD Player. And this is after Walmart said they would not carry the Venturer model. It appears that Toshiba is looking to up the ante this Holiday by joining Venturer on the 199.00 (and under) front. These 199.00 (and under) Players will certainly drop to 169.00 or less by end of November and well into December. It really appears that mass adoption on some level is getting underway. Stay Tuned..
