AnyDVD-HD vs AACS: Transformers HD-DVD cracked!

If you have not been in the know, the AACS implemented the latest version of the their copyright protection called "MKBv4". This time the group was confident that the scheme could not be cracked but as usual the mouse strikes back. The dudes down in Saint John's Antigua have managed to break the AACS scheme "MKBv4" and the end result is that you can now rip "Transformers" HD-DVD and also the upcoming "Spiderman III" for Blu-Ray. I was able to successfully copy Transformers HD-DVD for use on my laptop (yes, my laptop sports an Nvidia 7800 Go and AMD FX-60 Dual Core) earlier this evening. The AACS was pretty sure that the new scheme would last more than a few weeks but they forgot that the mouse is pretty DAMN nimble and "resourceful" these days.

AnyDVD goes AACS MKBv4

SlySoft was recently honoured by AACS-LA, being declared as public enemy number one in the ongoing battle for copyright protection.

To prove them right and to take on the challenge, SlySoft has just released the latest AnyDVD version which beats the latest 4th generation HD-DVD and BluRay copy protection MKBv4, which was expected to be unbreakable.

All that AACS-LA has to offer now is BD+, but even that is on the verge of being circumvented and a release is expected by the end of this year.
James Wong, Head of development at SlySoft: "We already found a way to crack BD+ and we have just turned to fine-tuning. I should really think about hiring a bodyguard now, since this product won't please everybody."

Giancarlo Bettini, CEO of SlySoft: "One could start feeling sorry for the poor movie industry guys, but in the end, it saves their jobs and ours. Actually, they could be grateful and show a little bit more appreciation.
Beating AACS-LA's protection was a challenge that we accepted passionately, since winning feels a lot better if the opponent is almost as strong as we are. However, I wonder when people will understand that more restrictions, pressure and protections that prevent things from working won't generate more but less revenue. Microsoft's revenue in the 90ies prove us right and even Apple recently released a DRM-free iTunes version."

Today's releases of CloneCD and Virtual Clone Drive have passed almost unnoticed.

The AnyDVD change-log at a glance:

6.1.9.3 2007 10 28
- New (HD DVD & Blu-ray): Added support for some popular MKBv4 discs
(e.g., "Transformers" HD DVD, US, "Spiderman 1-3" Blu-ray, US)
Note: Support for all MKBv4 discs will be added in a future release
- New (HD DVD): Added new option to automatically rename the XPL file
with the highest number. This option is very helpful, as it allows
PowerDVD Ultra to play back new HD DVD discs from Universal.
- New (Blu-ray): Added warning message, if disc is BD+ protected
- New: Added directory listing to the AnyDVD_Info file
- New: System info is now in separate file
- New: Added info about IDE controllers to AnyDVD_Info
- Fix: Integrity check could issue a false alarm on Windows 2000
- Fix (Blu-ray): "Failed to send HostKey!" error with some drives
- Fix (DVD): AI Scanner could remove huge parts of a disc, because
it thought they were never meant to be played (e.g., "Lost Season 2")
- Fix (DVD): AI Scanner problem with interleaved cells (e.g.,
"Meet the Robinsons", US)
- Fix (DVD): Playback problems with movie only copies of Arccos protected
discs made with CloneDVD2 on some DVD player models (e.g., "Saw 3", US
or "Hostel 2", UK) using AI Scanner
- Fix (DVD): CloneDVD2 error "ifomodify" with some Protect-X protected
discs attempting a movie only copy (e.g., "One Way", Germany)
- Fix (DVD): On some discs, CSS decryption did not work properly,
causing a PS18 error in CloneDVD / AnyDVD ripper
- Fix (DVD): "IFOFormat 0" error on some new copy protected discs
- Fix (DVD): "CloneSpec 4" error on some new copy protected discs
- Some minor fixes and improvements
- Updated languages

Very important requiry...

Hi species8472's,

my name is Michael and I'm italian; I'm contacting you in order to ask for a piece of info as to copy/crack the movie "TRANSFORMERS".

Yesterday I downloaded the last CloneDVD and AnyDVD (or better the 6.1.9.3 version) but when I put the dvd, Transformers, in my DVD-Burner, having already activated anyDVD, and clicking on DVD Shrink, the program is blocked and says "redundancy of cicle/cicle redundancy" (in italian "ridondanza di ciclo").

Therefore, how can I crack this damn movie? I tried DVDFab HD Decrypter out, unfortunately this prog doesn't allow me to copy it neither. Could you help me out, please?

I'm looking forward to get your kind reply. Thanx!!!

Bye Bye Mikk
