CES 2007
Microsoft will not be releasing IPTV this fall or winter and will instead allow the provider to roll-out the service. This is a good move as to use IPTV you must have a provider in your area that provides the service and you must have "sufficient bandwidth" as well. In many cases the IPTV service will be provided by the ISP such as AT&T who offers IPTV and also offers DSL. If one cannot meet the bandwidth requirements, poor performance will lead to a frustrating experience for many. Let us hope that providers are aggressive with the roll-out and that this feature does not become vaporware.....
