TDG research group believes that the next wave of adopters may tilt the scales in the favor of HD-DVD because they are more price conscience than US early adopters. This is very true for most technologies and could hold true for HD-DVD if we are ONLY talking about single males and females. If we are talking about families, Blu-Ray may have the edge because of Disney. Nevertheless the latest survey shows that consumers may be more aware of the war than we previously thought with many of them simply waiting for cheaper products. If Warner does not go HD-DVD exclusive and instead jumps to Blu, it may complicate matters as the Warner library caters to young males and females. China is also a major player with "CH HD-DVD" launching in early spring. China is all about low cost as the cost of living in China is VERY LOW compared to the rest of the world. Talk about complex..
