AVP-R HYBRID

Looking to see a decent movie today? Then I suggest checking out AVP-R! The movie is not great but not horribly bad either. The first film was not very good and lack what most of us wanted, lots of Aliens vs Predator. This time around the movie is Directed by The Brothers Strauss. The Brothers are Special Effects masters which is a positive for the movie, but on the negative side this is their first time directing (and at times it shows). The action is damn good. We have one Predator taking on tons of Aliens dispatching them in a variety of ways while attempting to cover up all traces of both races in the small Colorado town. But once the Hybrid ups the ante with more Aliens (I will not spoil how) things get out of hand quickly. Unfortunately the movie is all action with NO HUMOR and NO interesting characters, not a single one! If The Brothers had managed to inject these two qualities into the movie, it would have been a home-run, but instead you only enjoy the scenes that feature the Predator being a Billy Badd Asss taking on Alien after Alien after Alien. Therefore if you are in the mode for some good action (like I was), check out this movie and enjoy the rest of Christmas Day...
