According to Smarthouse Australia Pioneer is rumored to announce a deal with Sharp that will allow Pioneer to sell Sharp LCD's that are Pioneer branded. The Sharp Aquos Line is one of the best in the biz and will bring Pioneer on par with Sony who will also start to sell Sharp manufactured LCD's. Last week Pioneer bailed from the Plasma market after being successful for several years. Pioneer's move to LCD is probably spurred by their dismal Plasma performance over the last year which saw them lose a lot of marketshare to competitors. Will Pioneer be successful in the LCD market? They should as they have the name to sell the product along with one of the better BLU Players on the Market.
