When the first gen iPhone was released I cursed the day STEVE JOBS was born (and also bought a voodoo doll) as the iPhone was a great concept that was POORLY executed. Sure, if you were a Sidekick and Razr user, the iPhone is the greatest thing is the invention of the "wheel" but for hardware PDA Phone or Smartphone users, the lack of 3G, GPS, Bluetooth Stereo, Exchange support and other features was simply NOT cool for a 500 to 600 dollar device. Fast Forward a year and now Apple is correcting previous blunders by adding 3G, GPS and Exchange support while reducing the thickness of the device. This is enough for 90% of the population who has been holding out for a better iPhone but the LACK of A2DP aka Bluetooth Stereo is NOT RIGHT! I am 99 percent sure the Bluetooth Radio Apple is using supports A2DP profiles but Apple is simply too lazy to write a decent Bluetooth Stereo Stack? The iPhone is combo Phone, PDA and IPOD but lacks cutting edge technology like A2DP, why? I know this, I love my
Motorola S9 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones that I use with my
Kaiser (ATT Tilt) for music listening and would rather fly head first into a black hole then go back to dealing with WIRES! But with the new 3G iPhone running a cool 199.00 for the 8GB Model on new 2 year contract (I have 3 lines that are eligible for upgrade), I will grab one to use as a portable Web Surfing Device and Multimedia Player. My Kaiser will still be my device of choice until A2DP and copy/paste are supported. 3G iPhone invades your LIFE come July 11th. Remember, if you want one you will need to CAMP OUT (head to a AT&T store in a rural area) as you cannot purchase online and must activate in-store.
