Talking Buy an HD-DVD Player between Nov 1st and Feb 28 (07), receive 3 HD-DVD movies free!

That's right, 3 FREE movies if you purchase a Toshiba HD-DVD player (all players are eligible) between Nov 1, 2006 and Feb 28, 2007 (wish I would have waited). Toshiba has divided the movies into 3 categories and you must pick one movie from each category. I already have many of the movies on the list but if I were choosing, I would take these 3 movies:

Chronicles of Riddick - Directors cut (of the best HD-DVD Movies)
Constantine (another great movie that also supports TrueHD)
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (a personal favorite of mine)

Click on the image to view the PDF. The PDF will load in your browser by default. I recommend right clicking on the image and selecting "save target as":

Who's winning?

How about some info with sales data on who is winning...HD-DVD or Blu-Ray? I really want to buy one or the other, but I don't want to be stuck with a BetaMax type player. It would be great if you could have an area dedicated to tracking which format is winning.

Thx,
Matt

The true decider of which will be the da facto standard will be US, the consumer. Just like you mention with BetaMax. Consumers saw VHS was cheaper and everything went to the VHS format.
