Apparently some forum members over at AVSForums were able to get their hands on the HD-A2 and HD-XA2 in some
Best Buys. Others are still waiting for pre-orders on Amazon to be delivered. The HD-A2 is a 1080i model that replaces the HD-A1 and has no 5.1 along and features HDMI 1.2. The HD-XA2 is a 1080p model that replaces the HD-XA1 has 5.1 analog and HDMI 1.3. The HD-A2 is 499.99 and the XA2 is 999.99 (MSRP). The HD-A1 and HD-XA1 are rapidly dropping in price (already down to 399.99) plus the
3 free HD-DVD movies is still available with the purchase of either player. If you have not joined the revolution, now is a very good time as you can go for the less experience and perfectly good HD-A1/XA1 or the improved 1080p HD-XA2. I see no real reason to purchase the HD-A2 when the HD-A1 will suffice.
