Go figure! The Samsung Blu-Ray Player was blamed (and is also responsible) for Blu-Ray's poor showing this year by reviewers and even Sony. And now the player has won an award? Are you kidding me? The award is given for: Design quality, workmanship, material selection, innovation, environmental friendliness, functionality, ergonomics, visualization of use, safety, brand value and branding. Considering the criteria for winning, any product could have won. Why not give it to the "Phantom Console" (vaporware of the decade)? Or the "half baked over priced PS3"?
