It appears that Matt Damn "could" be cast as a Young James T. Kirk in the next Star Trek movie with Adrien Brody possibly cast as Spock. Brody as Spock is good but Damon as "Kirk", I do not think so. The absolute worst casting mistakes come from casting "Big Stars" as the leads in long running franchises such as Star Trek. The rule should always be to use no-name actors or actors with little recognition. The use of Big Stars in Star Trek only works when they are cast as Villains and not as part of the Crew. Even though I like the Next Generation Trek more than the old Generation, I am thrilled about the movie focusing on Kirk and Spock's first mission together but Damon could ruin it all. What do you think?
