EU has some trust issues?

EU has some trust issues? Who doesn't these days? Your favorite brand of toilet paper is REALLY owned by some other company that is secretly somehow connected to your cell phone provider. Does this scare you? I think it does.

So it's no surprise that the EU is wondering who is behind the hidef wars - namely Toshiba and Sony.

According to reports, the European Commission believes that the companies that are backing each format may have licensing terms that breach European competition rules. The report said that the European Commission launched an unofficial antitrust probe this month.
Here's the skinny from dailytech.com.

I'm honestly scared by conglomerates...but don't really think that any amount of protesting will really do anything about it. As long as Americans continue to benefit from these seemingly half illegal practices, there is NO way in hell that they're going to stop or come out of the corporate closet. But maybe if the EU isn't making enough money they'll cry and whine like little French babies.
