AVCHD or Bust?
What the hell! They can't possibly think that we can keep up with all the HD camcorders that keep coming out. For some reason Sony and Pansonic (among others) think throwing another wrench in the pot will distract us from all the cooks in the kitchen. Macworld.com agrees:

If you read the article you noticed that they just made this name up. That pisses me off.
Supposedly this technology mirrors the compression technology of Blu-Ray and HD DVD. But I don't see how it's supposed to make me happy just because I don't have to buy a hidef burner! I still have to buy a whole new player that will be compatible to this new format that I swear Panasonic and Sony have created to just piss me off!!! What the hell is Panasonic going to do with their new and wonderfully magical HVX200?? My compact VHS camcorder is lookin' hot and sexy now!
