BUNGIE dropped the mother of all dates on us today. The date is May 16th and it signifies the beginning of the HALO 3 madness that will rule the 2nd half of this year and it also happens to be the day the "MULTIPLAYER BETA" will begin. Sure Multiplayer betas are nothing new but for a sneak peak at a AAA game so far ahead of the game releases is "unprecedented". No one ever expected to see a HALO 3 BETA (after all we got nothing for EPIC before GoW's release) let alone a early BETA. But hey, BUNGIE and Microsoft like to write the rules as they go and that is cool by me. Ok, here is the bad side.. The servers are going to take a massive hit come this day and if the launch of the Video Marketplace back in November is any indication of things to come we are in a nasty time when it comes to downloading the game via LIVE. Hopefully lessons have been learned..

Today BUNGIE also released a Vidoc to showcase the multiplayer stuff including the team. The Vidoc also touches upon the mysterious new functions of the "X" button. The Vidoc can be found HERE. With HALO 2 for Vista in early May and HALO MULTIPLAYER BETA in Mid-May, my month of May belongs to BUNGIE and HALO.
