You know, those in the media have a powerful voice. The media has the ability to make or break someone. They can also bring someone total "joy" or total "embarrassment". Unfortunately Don Imus embarrassed the entire Girls Basketball team at Rutgers by calling them "nappy headed hoes" after their loss in the National Championship game. Not only was the comment "RACIST" but it was also "SEXIST". Before this clown had a chance to apologize to Al Sharpen (on Al's show), he should have been FIRED by CBS who instead placed him on 2 weeks unpaid suspension. Like the South Park episode a few weeks ago when Token said, "Jesse Jackson is not the emperor of all black people", I feel the same way about Al Sharpen. Being black myself, I find it insulting that apologizing to either Al or Jesse (two people I really do NOT like) "suddenly" makes things ok. And what about the female side? We don't see Don rushing to appear on "The View" or "The Oprah Show" as the issue is as much about the Sexist comments he made as the Racial comments. At least American Express Co., Sprint Nextel Corp., Staples Inc., Procter & Gamble Co., and General Motors will no longer pay for advertising on his show. I commend these companies for taking immediate action to send a strong message to Don and CBS. Now if CBS would FIRE him, the world would truly be a better place..
