CABLECAM is a company that has been around a while and behind the scenes at your favorite sporting event and movies. CABLECAM is a Camera that is mounted to a system utilizes Wrenches, Pulleys and Ropes to move the Camera about the area. The Camera has an extraordinary ZOOM range and can also be used underwater. During the filming of Poseidon, WB and company actually used a Cruise Ship built to scale, then actually overturned the ship using the cameras to film the underwater sequences during and after the ship is capsized by the rouge wave (never knew this until talking to them at NAB). During the filming of Troy (the movie) CABLECAM was used for several of the aerial scenes (see the 2 images above). CABLECAM is without a doubt one of the more interesting Camera Mechanisms I have seen.
