Rumors are running rampant online that Warner will go exclusively Blu-Ray in January. If that happens, Blu-Ray will have exclusive access to 70% of all major movie content. Many of the rumors are being fueled by comments from the head of New Line studios.

Alot has happened....Samsung BD-P1400 is now $299....or less depending on where you buy it. More price cuts from more CE manufacturers are rumored to be coming before the holiday. (I almost bought one tonight, but decided to hold out a few more weeks and see what else drops in price.)

Either the format war is just heating up, or its about to end...and the world is about to go Blu.

its inevitable...software sales are 2 to 1 in favor of blu-ray...you cant honestly think Harry Potter is going to sell better or even as well on HDDVD as it is on blu-ray...its been shown time and time again all year no matter what HD DVD does blu-ray just manages to out do it...maybe its all those 2 million some odd players out in the market...and yes a PS3 is a player...if it can play BD it is a player even if all the people who have one dont know what the hell it is...obiously someone knows it can cuz they havent sold nearly as many "stand alone players" as HDDVD yet they still maintain a 2 to 1 software lead...and if im not mistaken other than the new Bourne movie tommorow HD DVD has no more "magical bullets" left...oh noooz!
