OVERVIEW
Call of Duty 3 is (obviously) the thrid installment of the uber popular Call of Duty francise. The first COD came out on the PC a few years back and was praised for its intense WW2 action gameplay. Call of Duty 2 came out last year to PC and was a launch game for the Xbox 360. The game was also crittiacly acclaimed for the same fast paced WW2 action.

Now, one year later, Infinity War (the creator or COD 1 & 2) has handed down the reignes to Treyarch (developer of COD United Offensive & COD2 Big Red one, cosole versions of COD2) for Call of Duty 3. All I have to say is that Teyarch should be given a medal for making a awsome game.
SINGLE PLAYER
The sinlgle player has the player take control of a Birttish, American, Canadian, and Polish soilder, (YES! The polish dream is alive) all across the France in the Normandy Breakout. What this means is that there is no more D-Day, no Egypt, nothing but France, and I have to say, France was hell in WW2.

I havent completed all the levels yet, but I am afuly close and Im also afuly happy that I played this game. The first mission alone blew COD2 out of the water with about 100000 explosions in that level by itself. The levels are desinged very well and none of them seem simiar, which is good.
Some of the guns look quite different in COD3 then they did in COD2, which doesnt matter a whole lot but some people say they look too thin, I however do not. The gun models are very detailed and rather great looking. I was surprised about how much I just stood their picking up different guns just to see what they look like.
If you have played COD1 or 2 you should be able to jump right into the hard difficulty. But be careful if you do, when they say hard, they mean HARD. The different difficulties available are easy, normal, hard, and veteran. When you beat a level on veterian, you will be beyond happy.
Overall COD3 singleplayer is the best representaion of WW2 I have ever played.
MULTIPLAYER
Treyarch has redone multiplayer from the ground up to add 24 people to a game, classes, vechicles and new maps. And damn am I glad they did. WHen you get a 12 on 12 team battle game going online, you cant tell the difference between the super intense single player and the multiplayer.

In COD2 the mutliplayer only allowed 4 on 4 play which dulled down to a sniper fest. COD3allows a whooping 24 people in a game, mixed with jeeps, motorcycles, and tanks and you get one hell of a multiplayer game.
The game modes are Battle and Team Battle, standard deathmatch and team deathmatch, capture the flag and single flag capture, headquarters, where you try to secure and cotroll a radio, and war. War is a very battlefield 2ish mode when there are 5 or 6 points on a map and who ever controlls all of them at once wins. The game modes are quite good.
There are 6 or 7 classes they each have a set of weapons. The classes are nothing new to videogames but they are a welcome addition. Also in OCD2 multiplayer the shotgun was a overpowered weapon, but now it takes 2 or 3 shots to kill someone rather than one shot.
Overall the multiplayer portion is just as good as singleplayer if not better.
