Microsoft has finally released a larger hard drive for the 360. Most of us have been in need since the release of the Video Marketplace back in November of last year. This past weekend Microsoft launched the 120GB Hard Drive along with the ELITE 360 and some other accessories. The "120GB" Hard Drive comes with a "data transfer cable" and "data transfer software". The data transfer cable is used to transfer data from your existing "20GB" 360 Hard Drive to your new 120GB Hard Drive.

The data transfer cable can be used once per console - as the drive is marked and the old 20GB is completely erased. Game Demo's, TV Shows, Arcade Games, Themes, Gamerpics and all Game Data is transfered without issue. Movies from the Video Marketplace will transfer "BUT" will not be accessible. Watch your movies FIRST. The process itself is very simple and takes less than an hour. If the process is interrupted, all of your data remains on the old 20GB Drive. Once the process completes, the old 20GB Drive is completely erased.

Power on Console and Insert Data Transfer Software (CD-ROM) into 360 DVD-ROM Drive

Select "Transfer Content" to begin transfer
